Mechanical engineering

Does technology arouse your curiosity? Mathematics comes easily to you? Learn the tools to shape your future!

Technology arouses your curiosity? Do you want to know how we can use technology to solve the challenges of our time? Learn tools to shape the future! We will prepare you to work as an engineer in production companies of all kinds as well as in mechanical and plant engineering companies!

Designing and creating products computer-based and haptically sounds exciting to you? It is too! Intelligent, digital and networked systems produce or operate almost every product we use every day: packaging machines, high-speed elevators, wind turbines, agricultural machinery, electric vehicles, machine tools and construction machinery or industrial robots are just a few examples.

We will prepare you! On the basis of a sound education in mechanical engineering, we offer you specializations in the fields of drive and vehicle technology, development and design, mechatronics and digitalization as well as smart production. Your career opportunities are diverse. Many of our junior employees are now working in leading positions in industry.

Still undecided - maybe because you have math deficits? Problems are there to be solved: With our MatheLift program, you can still get started. You can find more information below under "Useful links".

We live mechanical engineering! Join us, we'll get you there…

8 weeks internship - Our recommendation:
Complete a part - e.g. 4 of the 8 weeks - of your internship before you start your studies. Many new impressions await you in the foundation course and it will help you to understand the material if you have already experienced materials and production processes in practice.

Possible Master's program at the Ostfalia

  • Systems Engineering (M.Eng.) (full-time/part-time)
  • Automotive Production (M.Eng.) (part-time/continuing education)
